Rise Plugins ("we", "us", "our") operates getsmartseo.com and the Smart SEO web app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. You can sign in with email and password or Google. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
If you upload a profile photo, we store it in Cloudflare R2.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs your payment data. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
Website and Usage Data
We store the website address you enter, your answers in the setup wizard, subscription records, and records of your strategy and draft usage.
Website Analytics
We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site. This may include pages visited, time on site, and referral sources. We do not sell this data.
Web App Data
We fetch and crawl public pages from the website address you enter for SEO analysis. This includes page URLs, titles, and content. We store your wizard answers, generated strategies, and page and blog post drafts in our database (Cloudflare D1) to support your account, enable strategy history, and improve our service.
We also collect your task progress in the web app - which recommended tasks you mark done, snoozed, or skipped, and when - tied to your account and website. This lets your next strategy build on what you've already completed instead of starting from scratch.
We use Cloudflare Browser Run to take a screenshot of your public homepage for the website preview during setup.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to check for bots. These checks send a verification token and, where supplied, your IP address to Cloudflare.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain your account and subscription
- To connect your account to your website and manage access to your plan
- To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, password resets, payment notifications)
- To provide customer support
- To prevent fraud and abuse
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe - for payment processing
- Resend - for sending transactional emails
- Anthropic - for AI generation of SEO strategies and drafts using your website content and setup answers. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through its API is not used to train its models.
- FireCrawl - for crawling and analyzing your website pages
- DataForSEO - for keyword research and search data
- Cloudflare - for hosting our website and web app, storing account and app data in D1, storing uploaded profile photos in R2, Turnstile bot checks, and Browser Run screenshots of your public homepage
Data Retention
We retain your account data and generated strategy results for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we keep your account and existing strategy data so you can resubscribe. To request account or data deletion, contact us at support@getsmartseo.com.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You can:
- Update your name and password from your dashboard
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us
- Request account deletion by emailing us
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
